Will the R22 phase-out affect you?

The clock is ticking!  R22 gas is the most commonly used refrigerant in air conditioning systems, and the forthcoming ban will affect many organisations when it comes into effect on 1st January 2015. Phasing out the use of R22 is similar to the banning of CFCs back in the '90s.  It’s all to do with saving the planet and the depletion of the ozone layer. Use of the equipment will still be allowed but no service or maintenance will be permitted if it requires breaking into the refrigerant circuits.  It’s in the interest of anyone with an air conditioning system to find out where they stand, as opposed to waiting until their system stops running.  Air conditioning manufacturers are notorious for hiking up prices in the summer, so the best time to have anything like this addressed is in the winter - the very time you aren’t thinking about cooling the shop/cafe/waiting room down!

Contact Cygnus now to arrange an inspection of your installation... before time runs out!
